Bright lights, big city

Finally out and about again (worthy enough to share at least). We headed to Victoria for two nights to get a bit of shopping in and some different culture. Of course it was the last Saturday before Christmas so everyone from miles around was downtown shopping. Poor WD was a little overwhelmed by it all but did pretty well for a country guy. He especially liked our hotel where they treated him like a king.

I don’t think he ever got use to the elevator or the height from the balcony.

We were all a little spoiled by this stay and it was hard to leave our city digs but there are so many more places to explore and only so many credit card points to pay for the upgraded accommodations. WD found it very hard to part with the $250 dog bed.

The weather did not cooperate the whole time but it was mild so that is a compromise I am still willing to accept. There was even a ferris wheel ride downtown that people were on even in the pouring rain.

By evening the rain had subsided and we were out exploring once again.

  1. Wow, what a change from Sointula. Glad you are enjoying yourselves. Brody is taking to luxury like duck to water. Love the harbor lights at night. I am doing a “painting the night” course in January and will take that photo with me. Happy Happy Christmas you three, Love AT/UJ

  2. Wow! Victoria is beautiful at Christmas – especially loved the pic of Brody hugging his $250.00 bed! The horse drawn carriage was also very pretty. Was that city hall all bedazzled? Merry Christmas to you from the Bear & I. Hugs, Karen
